I was sad to hear of my old friends passing. We only knew each other for a year or so back in 87 or 88, but that time meant a lot to both of us. His humor, his way of seeing the world made him feel like a brother to me. Its not my place to question Gods plans, so I guess he was needed elsewhere. May god hold you in the palm of his hand. Rest in peace brother.

I haven't talked to David since high school. He was always kind to me and we got along well. I was sorry to hear of his passing. I will keep his family in my prayers.

David was my first born son, born when I was much too young and unable to care for him myself and was forced to let him be adopted. Adoptions were closed back in those days, so we weren't able to reunite until about 12 years ago, when his birth father finally located David. I had tried several times. Firstly, let me offer gratitude and appreciation for the family that adopted and raised David, the Neuvirths. My deepest thanks. When I met David, 12 years ago, I was amazed how deeply connected we were, in our hearts. He had traveled to two major places I had previously lived or came to live later...Clam Gulch, Alaska and Paonia, CO. Like others have shared, I have been struck David's big loving heart and his kindness. Even though we weren't able to be together physically very often in this life, I will deeply miss him. As I go through this grieving process in the days after he left us, so many tears and much sadness...yet sometimes it's so clear that he's still right here, here in my heart in his essence. Its a warm loving feeling and I'm grateful to have been a part of David's life. Safe travels, my son, I love you.

i have known david for the better part of 10 years he and i had a good many talks togther from what we have seen , done , and was going to do my heart goes out to the family and his wife pamela

To David's family, I know the road was often rocky, but David spoke highly of you. His final days were filled with hope and excitement about the future. He died too early, but he died with peace and hope in his heart. I pray you can find comfort knowing this, and that you can celebrate the faith he had in God, and the hope he was just beginning to experience. David quickly became a friend, not just to me, but to so many that he met. He will be deeply missed.

What a wonderful service for David today. I was impressed by how deeply he touched the lives of so many in our community. Over and over again people shared how gentle, loving, considerate, and caring David was. That was also my experience. When one friend shared how David told her that what he'd really like to do is to be a farmer, I realized that he already was. David cultivated friendship after friendship, and sowed seeds of joy into our lives. I will miss you, my friend.
