Richard was an amazing teacher, colleague, and friend. He introduced me to Moliere, and we had many fun conversations about theater, writing, and literature. The world is poorer without him.

Richard was such a vibrant, intelligent and talented man with a huge heart. I was not privileged to spend a great deal of time with him, but I treasure the moments I did get to spend with him. I am so sorry that I don't think he ever knew how much his guidance and kindness meant to me. I grieve for the loss of such a wonderful person. I hope that your terrific memories of your life with him bolster your spirits in the days to come. I don't know a single person who was not touched by Richard in someway. Through teaching, theatre, choir or church. I will alway consider myself a better person for having known him. I consider myself privileged to have called him friend.

Richard always inspired and motivated me. The great directors and teachers in our lives stay with us. I know his influence will be a part of how I approach the arts for the rest of my life. He was a wonderful man, and so inspirational.

It was Sunday morning in the Choir loft. As we waited for Mass to begin, Richard was practicing a new solo part alongside Faith, our Organist. Meanwhile, myself and another Choir member were quietly conversing. Suddenly, I felt we were being watched. I looked up to see Richard glaring at us with his "have you quite finished?" look. He so reminded me of my dad. Richard was a remarkable man. -Raina Taylor-

This man did not walk with the bible under his arm, but I know, this man walked with Jesus. Few people are aware of how much work he did behind the scenes without thanks or praise. I am grateful for all he graciuously did for me and my family. Break a leg Richard, your wings will carry you now.
