Bob was a a patient of the Columbia Gorge Heart Clinic. Our entire staff looked forward to his visits; even when he felt awful, he maintained a quick wit and could find humor around every corner. He was effusively warm in a genuine way. With a glimmer in his eye as he'd tell the stories of his baseball years, which were always fun to hear. He will certainly be missed. Bob and I grew up together and we were very special to each other. I am so glad we were able to reconnect and share memories over the last 15 years. Along with 10-15 other classmates we traveled to different places every year including Canada, the Oregon beaches,LasVegas,up and down the California coast and eastern Oregon playing golf and having fun. When he became ill we stayed in contact by phone and a few weeks before he died I traveled up to see him bringing his favorite Fettucini Alfredo for dinner. We spent five hours together just talking and laughing. He felt good and I treasure that afternoon.

Dave although I never met your father I felt that I new him from the great stories you told about the days he played baseball. I know you will miss him and you have my sympathy for that. I think the world will be a less interesting place with him not around. Condolences to you and your family Howard
